Call to Order by Mayor Westcamp at 6:30 p.m. Staff Present: Marsha Hall - Administrator, Kevin Shannon - Law Director, Jeff Green - Director of Finance, Ralph Portier - Chief of Police Guests Present: The Guest Book is on file with the Clerk of Council. II. Moment of Silence The Mayor asked everyone to join him in a moment of silence. III. Pledge of Allegiance Chief Portier led the Pledge of Allegiance. IV. Roll Call Excused: 1 - Ed Rarey Present: 5 - Shawn M. Cleary, Edward Dildine, Jean Ann Hilbert, Becky Hutson, and Scott Lockett A motion was made by Council Member Cleary, seconded by Council Member Hilbert, to excuse Council Member Rarey from tonight's meeting. Executive Session Law Director Shannon requested Council to consider making a motion to go into Executive Session pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G) to discuss pending litigation to include the Administrator, Finance Director, all of Council, the Mayor, himself and the City's City of Groveport Page 1 City Council Meeting Minutes January 9, 2017 Special Counsel Jack Rosati, who is present at tonight's meeting. A motion was made by Council Member Hilbert, seconded by Council Member Cleary, to go into Executive Session pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §121.22(G) to discuss pending litigation at 6:32 p.m. to include the Administrator, Finance Director, all of Council, the Mayor, the Law Director and the City's Special Counsel Jack Rosati. No other nominations were submitted. A motion was made by Council Member Hilbert, seconded by Council Member Dildine, to close the nominations. He appreciates Chief Portier and his officers for what they do on a daily basis. D. Director of Finance - Jeff Green Finance Director Jeff Green announced the City was notified at the end of the year by GFOA that Groveport received the Certificate of Achievement For Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2015 CAFR. E. Director of Law - Kevin Shannon Nothing further to report. F. Council Members - Ed Rarey, Jean Ann Hilbert, Ed Dildine, Shawn Cleary, Becky Hutson and Scott Lockett Council Member Cleary recognized Scott Clinger for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Other Business Council Member Hilbert requested that an item be put on next week's Committee of the Whole agenda. She wants to discuss the matter of a generator for the Recreation Center. XI.
