Mayor - Lance Westcamp City of Groveport Page 2 City Council Meeting Minutes October 23, 2017 Mayor Lance Westcamp was forwarded a postcard from some snowbirds who reside in the City of Groveport during the summer complimenting on how beautiful the City looks, especially Heritage Park. The ribbon cutting for Hendron Road is Wednesday at 12:00 p.m., the Mayor hopes to see everyone there. He reminded everyone to let Administrator Hall know if they plan to attend McDonald's ribbon cutting event. B. Council Members - Jean Ann Hilbert, Ed Dildine, Shawn Cleary, Becky Hutson, Scott Lockett and Jim Beidler Council Member Lockett thanked and congratulated Bruce Smith on his efforts with the Blacklick Haunted Park. The event was a big success with proceeds going to Groveport Madison Human Needs & The Groveport Food Pantry. Council Member Beidler had a visitor from New Mexico and one from Minneapolis; both expressed how lovely Groveport is and they have enjoyed their time here in our City. Council Member Cleary commented on how nice Hendron Road is now that it is open. Mayor Westcamp suggested inviting former Council City of Groveport Page 3 City Council Meeting Minutes October 23, 2017 Member Ed Rarey to the ribbon cutting. Council Member Hutson has already seen a lot of activity on the sidewalks. Executive Session Administrator Marsha Hall requested Council to consider making a motion to go into Executive Session pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G)(8) to discuss economic development, to include all of Council, the Mayor, the Assistant Administrator, the Chief of Police and herself. A motion was made by Council Member Lockett, seconded by Council Member Hutson, to go into Executive Session at 6:40 p.m. pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G)(8) to discuss economic development, to include all of Council, the Mayor, the Administrator, the Assistant Administrator and the Chief of Police. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 6- Beidler, Cleary, Dildine, Hilbert, Hutson and Lockett A motion was made by Council Member Hilbert, seconded by Council Member Dildine, to come out of Executive Session at 7:31 p.m. with no action taken.
