/L/-3 The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Hackensack was held at City Hall, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey, on Tuesday, May 26, 1992, at 7:00 P. M. Mayor Zisa called the meeting to order and asked the City Clerk to call the roll. Present - Mayor John F. Zisa, Deputy Mayor Sandra A. Robinson, Councilmen Mark A. Stein, Mauro A. Mecca and Roger B. Mattei, City Attorney Richard E. Salkin, City Clerk Doris L. Dukes and Chief Financial Officer Raymond Carnevale. t Mrs. Dukes: "In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Laws of 1975, adequate notice of , this meeting was provided by sending a notice to The Record and by posting a copy on the Bulletin Board in City Hall." Resolution #166 OFFERED BY: STEIN SECONDED BY: MATTEI WHEREAS, N.J.S. 40A-8, as amended, provides that the budget be read by title only at the time of the public hearing if a resolution is passed by not less than a majority of the full governing body, providing that at least one week prior to the date of the hearing a complete copy of the approved budget, as advertised, has been posted in City Hall and copies have been made available by the City Clerk to persons requiring them: and WHEREAS, these two conditions have been met. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the budget shall be read by title only. Roll Call: Ayes - Mecca, Robinson, Stein, Mattei, Zisa Mayor Zisa called for a motion to hold the public hearing on the 1992 Municipal budget. I Motion offered by Robinson, be a public hearing. Carried. seconded by Stein that there The Mayor asked if anyone wished to speak on the budget. There was no response. The Mayor called for a motion to close the public hearing. Motion offered by Robinson, seconded by Mattei that the public hearing be closed. Carried. Mayor Zisa announced that the budget cannot be adopted this evening. We are waiting for the aid package to be received from the state. There being no further comments, a motion was offered by Robinson, seconded by Mattei that the meeting be adjourned. (7:10 P. M.)
