BOARD OF REVIEW-Minutes Village of Hales Corners June 26, 2025 5635 South New Berlin Road 1.0 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 2:005 p.m. 2.0 Roll Call - Present: F. Pum (in person), virtual - G. Mueller, J. Wagner, J. Bruening. Absent: C. Resendiz. Staff: Village Assessor – N. Laird and Clerk S. Kulik. 3.0 Election of Officers – Motion (Pum, Wagner) to nominate G. Mueller as chair; motion passes 4- 0-1. 4.0 Approval of minutes of the May 6, 2025 Board of Review – Motion (Mueller, Pum) to approve minutes as presented; motion passes 4-0-1. 4.0 Notices/Review Law Changes – N. Laird reported on Act 235 relative to privacy protection requirements afforded to elected judicial officials right to remove identifying information from municipal records. S. Kulik reported that the Village Municipal Judge has requested this protection. N. Laird reported he would work with the Village on how to comply with the act. 5.0 Training Affidavits – S. Kulik reported that J. Wagner had completed the BOR training and the Village was compliant with the legal requirement. 6.0 Receipt of Assessment Roll from Assessor – N. Laird presented the roll and commented that there were no challenges, the roll was complete and that assessment was 96% of equalized value. 7.0 Review Assessment Roll and Verify with Assessor inclusion of Open Book Changes – N. Laird reported all open book items were included in the roll. 8.0 Assessor Swearing In – S. Kulik reported items and 8 & 9 are not needed as there is no contested cases to be heard. 9.0 Hearing of Property Owner Objections – see comment from 8.0 above. 10.0 Adjournment – Motion (Mueller, Bruening) to adjourn sine die at 4:00 p.m.; motion passes 4- 0-1. _______________________________ Sandra M.
