1.0 Call to Order & Roll Call- N. Wilkes called to order at 6:32pm.
Present: N. Wilkes, E. Valaitis, R. Lindner, S. Sabbatini, D. Besson, I.

2.0 Minutes–Approval of June 11, 2025, minutes
(A. Dunning, S. Sabbatini, – All Approved)
3.0 Treasurer’s Report
• No update
4.0 Safety & Security Review
• No update
5.0 Food and Drink Vendors
• N. Wilkes reported four of the five vendors have completed contracts. In & Out
Foods, Perspective Brewery, Ochos Mexican Grill, and Tundra Treats.
• N. Wilkes will check in the food carts, arrival between 2pm and 3pm.
6.0 Website Review
• No Update
7.0 Events
7.1 Firecracker Four
• K. Laufer reported there will be over 1,000runners.
• Run packet pick up will be at the pool house on Thurs. 7/3 from 12noon-
3pm.
• K. Laufer will plug in freezer for ice cream
• Confirmed patrol at run intersections
• R. Dodd reported that the run T shirt incorporated a tribute to Dave O’Brien
with a D and O in the design
7.2 Car Show
• No Update
7.3 Children’s Parade
• A. Dunning reported all set
• A. Dunning to pick up Ice Cream 7/3 1pm
7.4 Children’s Games
• E. Valaitis Reported all set
• Eileen and Nancy will make water balloons 7/3
• Dan O’Donnell will announce upcoming events- Patriotic Pet, Hot Dog Eating
and Bed Races during children’s games
• E. Valaitis pick up key from K. Lauffer and then had key to Ian
7.5 Patriotic Pet Costume Contest
• N. Wilkes reported all set
• N. Wilkes recognized pet contest prize donors
-End of the Leash for their $75 grooming award
-Hales Corners Vet for their wellness check
7.6 Pie Baking Contests
• I. Thomson reported that all for Pie is fine
• Diane Besson has agreed to emcee the contest
7.7 Hot Dog Eating Competition
• I. Thomson reported pre-registrations have been received
• A few openings remain in the lightweight division
• There are 8 spots in each weight division
7.8 Bed Races
• R. Lindner and S. Sabbatini reported. All set.
• The bed’s wheels and alignment has been worked on.
7.9 Big Parade
• M. Eternicka has coordinated review stand set up for 7/3.
• I Thomson confirmed 3 of the 4 gators arrived 7/2 and the 4th should deliver 7/3.
• Port Potties will deliver 7/3
• I. Thomson reported parade units are confirmed. BMX will be 2nd to the end as the
Calliope is the traditional end of the parade.
• UW Marching Band confirmed for parade and 5th quarter. A few spots in the
Library parking lot will be available for the UW Marching Band members cars.
• Parade will include 4 floats. O. Sterny is set with judges and scoring sheet. Winner
will be notified after the 4th.
7.10 Fireworks
• Rain date will be Hales Corners National Night Out Aug. 5th.
8.0 Publicity
8.1 Press Release
• Event information was listed correctly this year in the Now and Journal Sentinel.
• Committee discussed requesting military fly over in 2026 like Greenfield was
having this year.
• T. Colbert confirmed for photography
9.0 Adjournment- 7:28 pm Motion by N. Wilkes second by R. Linder
Next Meeting Dates: A Hot Wash Meeting will be scheduled.
