MINUTES OF THE COMMON COUNCIL JANUARY 28, 2019 The regular meeting of the Hammond Common Council of the City of Hammond, Lake County, Indiana was held on January 28, 2019 in the Hammond City Council Chambers. AYES: ALL APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Councilman Woerpel, supported by Council Higgs, moved to approve the claims from January 22, 2019 through January 23, 2019. Claim # 347 through # 634, inclusive. Community & Crime Watch Committee - Councilwoman Venecz - Announced upcoming meetings: Wed., Feb 6, Edison Community Watch Edison School; 6:30p.m. Fri., Feb 8, Edison Community Watch on the Road Golden Manor; 1p.m. Tues., Feb 5; Harrison Park Crime Watch VFW Hohman Ave 6:30 p.m. Fri., Feb 1st Irving Community Watch will meet at Irving School at 9:15 a.m. Councilman Kalwinski,- Pulaski Park Neighborhood Association Inc. is canceling its meeting for 1-29-2019. And the next meeting will be held on 2-26-2019. ORDINANCE 3RD READING - FINAL PASSAGE 19-01 An Ordinance amending Ordinance NO.8514, also known as the Hammond Zoning Ordinance , and amending Ordinance 9310, also known as the Marina District Development Planned Unit Development District Ordinance for Purposes of amending certain Provisions for the Marina District Development Planned Unit Development District Ordinance Councilman Kalwinski, supported by Councilman Spitale, moved for passage. Councilman Kalwinski, this Ordinance details cleaning up things the Hammond Plan Commission and Zoning needed to have done in order to continue with the build out of the business on the 35 acres.
