April will create a handout on how to create a bee with a water bottle. Adam will have a table at Bluebird gap farm with some volunteers on that day. All we have to do is gather all the items together and get those to Adam to showcase. April will coordinate with Adam for that. · “June 19-25 is Pollinator Week. We are planning to be at the BBFM. We have June 17th as a better date for our schedule. 8 am- 1 pm. If we want to do a plant sale we need to coordinate. Wendy has some plants we can come dig, but we would have to maintain them until the event. Marty Wood gave us some last year. Gayle and George can help dig at Wendy’s house. Starting Feb. 26th for a couple weeks, Wendy is available to dig at her house. March 12th is the last day Wendy can be available. April and Gayle planned to coordinate with Wendy to dig on March 10th at 10 am. Old Business/Updates BBGF pollinator bed by sign – April, Al, and George Adam from BBGF was introduced. He talked about the long term plan for BBGF. The city has purchased the house next to the sign out front of the farm. In the master plan their goal for that area is to do community gardens, some farming. There are 3 acres there. There will be some parking as well. Once the master plan is approved, Adam will get with the planners and come up with a budget and plan. He is fairly certain the community garden would be approved. CNU has been volunteering with BBGF. There is some water at the farm, and there is a possibility that the new property has water. Barb has a rain barrel she will donate it to BBGF. We discussed putting a sign up in the area to explain our plan for this area. We need to layout a plan first. Wendy may have some supplies for raised bed. Adam is going to come up with some drawings of the area, and target certain areas for our plan. We need to come up with plant list as well. Wendy ask the group What actions have we taken to make pest management practices more ecofriendly? We all have agreed we use less pesticides in our own yards.
