Electoral Board

Hampton Electoral Board Meeting June 18-24, 2024 10:00 a.m., Registrar’s Office Canvass and Provisional Meeting for Primary Portions of the meeting were closed. Present: Rebecca, Tom, Matt, Tara Meeting called to order 6/18, 7:30 p.m. to examine documents brought in by Chiefs following the Primary. EB checked Statements of Results (2 for each precinct; signed by all, with zero tape and end of night tape attached, also with explanation for difference in numbers), Oath page (signed by all), Ballot record report, and Incident Report. A number of Chiefs were able to complete their documents when requested. One precinct was lacking a signature, and the Assistant Chief would come in the next day the office was open to provide that. At ease 9:50 p.m. when the last precinct dropped off forms. Meeting continued 6/20/24, called to order at 1:30 p.m. Present: Rebecca, Tara, Matt, Tom (joined by phone) Numbers of votes for each precinct for each candidate was verified by the end of night tapes. Meeting was at ease at 2:45 p.m.  EB Meeting, June 18-24, 2024, page 2 Meeting was continued 6/24/24 at 11:35 a.m. Provisional Ballots received were addressed. Five (5) ballots out of seven (7) were accepted. The preliminary count was changed adding 3 votes for Cao, 2 votes for Garcia. Abstracts were signed.
