Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – March 23, 2021 Attending: (A) = absent Bob Boester ( ) Willie Brown (A) Asa Jenrette ( ) Matt Joyner ( ) Anne Rutherford ( ) Samantha Snead ( ) Andrew Wilson ( ) Terri Vander Vennet ( ) Benjamin Naidorf (A) Call to Order/Reading and Approval of Minutes: At 12:01 p.m., Chair Boester called the meeting to order. Chair Report/Announcements: Chair Boester led a discussion of the impact vaccinations are having on the public and the increased return to normal activities. The committee discussed this impact in relation to the comfort level in attending live events again. Chair Boester also announced Assistant Director, Peter O’Donnell, was no longer with the Coliseum. Director’s Report: Ms. Vander Vennet gave an overview of the Coliseum’s current financial situation and event holds on the booking calendar. Ms. Vander Vennet shared the plan for replacing the assistant director n and the importance of filling this position in order to reopen the Coliseum. Ms. Vander Vennet shared the results of the Severud Structural Study and the waterproofing remediation work to be done. Other Business: New Business: Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 12:44 pm.
