Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – November 30, 2021 Attending: (A) = absent Bob Boester ( ) Willie Brown ( ) Asa Jenrette ( ) Matt Joyner ( ) Jay Lang ( ) Dana Hubbard (A) Anne Rutherford ( ) Samantha Snead ( ) Andrew Wilson ( ) Terri Vander Vennet ( ) Benjamin Naidorf (A) Call to Order/Reading and Approval of Minutes: Chair Boester called the meeting to order at 12:03pm. A motion was made by Mr. Lang to approve the Minutes from the October 26, 2021 meeting. The motion was seconded by Ms. Snead. Chair Report/Announcements: Chair Boester addressed the committee regarding his term ending and that he would be retiring from service. He expressed his thankfulness and enjoyment of serving on the committee since 1984. Chair Boester shared some of the highlights of the committee accomplishments he participated in during his tenure. Director’s Report: Ms. Vander Vennet updated the committee on recently filled and still vacant positions and SVOG spending. The committee was reminded that Mr. Boester and Mr. Brown’s terms were ending and a recommendation had been sent to Council on new appointments. Ms. Rutherford’s first term is also ending and has been recommended for a second term appointment. Committee appointments are on the Council’s December Agenda. Ms. Vander Vennet reviewed upcoming events scheduled through February 2022 and reminded members that a meeting would not be held in December, nor would the Coliseum be holding their annual Holiday Party. Other Business: New Business: Director Vander Vennet presented Chairman Boester with a picture of the Coliseum with Holiday Lights with a plaque acknowledging Chair Boester’s 24 years of service to the committee..
