Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – May 24, 2022 Attending: Woody Newman, Chairman Samantha Snead, Vice-Chairwoman Asa Jenrette Matt Joyner Ryan Lowrie Anne Rutherford Bob Boester, Chairman Emeritus Terri Vander Vennet, Director Absent: Visitors: No visitors in attendance. Dana Hubbard Jay Lang Andrew Wilson Ben Naidorf, Legal Call to Order and Approval of Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 12:12 P.M. A motion was made by Ms. Rutherford to approve the April 24, 2022 meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lowrie and passed unanimously. Chair Report: Chairman Newman opened the meeting with a reminder of the City’s Boards and Commissions attendance policy and reviewed the meeting schedule for the remainder of the year. The idea was introduced to set a specific topic for each meeting to engage members and assist in meeting preparation. Members were requested to bring their meeting topic ideas to the June 28, 2022 meeting. Director Report: Ms. Vander Vennet gave an overview of May events and upcoming June – July events which included Mother’s Day Celebration, York HS Graduation, NNPS Graduations, HCS Graduations, Equipovision Conference, and Ganja White Night EDM concert. An update was provided on the Exterior Concourse Waterproofing project set to commence June 27, 2022. Ms. Vander Vennet provided new pricing for the scoreboard project from member input.
