Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes – June 28, 2022 Attending: Woody Newman, Chair Samantha Snead, Vice-Chair Matt Joyner Ryan Lowrie Anne Rutherford Andrew Wilson Bob Boester, Chairman Emeritus Terri Vander Vennet, Director Absent: Visitors: No visitors in attendance. Dana Hubbard Jay Lang Asa Jenrette Ben Naidorf, Legal Call to Order and Approval of Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 12:13 P.M. A motion was made by Ms. Rutherford to approve the May 24, 2022 meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Joyner and passed unanimously. Chair Report: Chairman Newman opened the meeting with a reminder of the City’s Boards and Commissions attendance policy and led a discussion of topics to assign for each future meeting. It was decided September’s topic would be FY22 end of year financials and October would be the Coliseum Capital Improvement Plan. Chairman Newman will put together a suggested topic calendar for the remainder of the fiscal year. Director Report: Ms. Vander Vennet gave an overview of past and upcoming events as well as an update on the scoreboard project and Professional Box Lacrosse League. Assistant Director Charles Gardner provided graphics for updated directional signage and asked for committee input. Other Business: Ms. Rutherford announced she would be starting a position with the City Attorney’s Office and would be resigning from the committee. New Business: Members were reminded the committee would not be meeting in July and August. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 12:53 P.M.
