Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes September 26, 2023 12:00 P.M. Attending: Linda Curtis Lynne Hutton Asa Jenrette Ryan Lowrie Joyce Melvin-Jones Woody Newman, Chair Bob Boester, Emeritus Patricia Melochick, Legal Charles Gardner Absent: Visitors: Matt Joyner Andrew Wilson Samantha Snead Ben Naidorf, Legal Terri Vander Vennet Call to Order and Approval of Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 12:05 P.M. A motion was made by Mr. Lowrie to approve the June 27, 2023 meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Ms. Hutton and passed unanimously. Chair Report: No Report Director Report: Mr. Gardner reviewed upcoming events through the end of the year. Other Business: Mr. Lowrie provided the committee capacities and capabilities of area breweries. Members discussed and recommended a brewery. Ms. Melochick, City Attorney, was in agreement with the decision to pursue a licensing agreement with the recommended brewery. Ms. Melochick will have the trademark attorney create a licensing agreement template to outline potential terms of an agreement and then Ms. Vander Vennet and board representatives will meet with the brewery to discuss the particulars of the agreement. Members would like to works towards having an agreement in place so product would be available for the December Goose event. New Business: Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 1:04 P.M.
