Hampton Coliseum Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes March 26, 2024 12:00 PM Attending: Linda Curtis Lynne Hutton Matt Joyner Ryan Lowrie, Chair Woody Newman Joyce Melvin-Jones Bob Boester, Emeritus Terri Vander Vennet Charlie Gardner Absent: Visitors: Andrew Wilson, Ben Naidorf, Legal Call to Order and Approval of Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 12:02 PM by Chairman Lowrie. A motion was made by Ms. Hutton to approve the February 27, 2024 meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Newman and passed unanimously. Chair Report: Chairman Lowrie updated committee members on new member appointments and member reappointments made to the committee by City Council at their March 13, 2024 Legislative Session. Director Report: Ms. Vander Vennet reviewed past and upcoming events. Committee members asked the Director to look into opportunities for ticket giveaways or seat filler programs for the Allen Iverson Classic on May 4, 2024, to provide more exposure to the event. Ms. Vander Vennet will look into and notify the committee of any opportunities. Other Business: Ms. Vander Vennet provided an update on the product branding project. The agreement template is back with the legal department to create the agreement for signature. Members discussed beverage distributor’s control over products offered and what is made available in different markets. New Business: Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 1:06 PM.
