A. Hampton Roads Sanitation District to construct a replacement pump station on a 0.64+
acre site consisting of three parcels located on 3725, 3727, and 3729 Victoria Boulevard
(LRSNs 2001543, 2001542, and 2001541).
VI. Public Hearing Items
A. Use Permit Application No. 1070-2011 by AT&T to construct a 120’ monopole
communications tower within a 60’X60’ equipment compound area located at 95 Tide Mill
Lane (LRSN# 7001615). The 4+ acre lot is zoned Multiple Residence (R-M) District which
permits a communications tower with an approved Use Permit. The Hampton Community
Plan (2006, as amended) recommends public/semi-public use for this site. Staff Contact: C.

B. Use Permit Application No. 1071-2011 by Bay Disposal, Inc to operate a recycling sorting
facility at 310 E Street [LRSNs 1000080 and 13002089], a 10.1+ acre site zoned Heavy
Manufacturing District (M-3), which allows recycling sorting facilities subject to securing a
Use Permit. The Hampton Community Plan (2006, as amended) recommends

C. Zoning Ordinance Amendment 021-2010: Ordinance to amend and reenact chapter 18 of
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia entitled “General Provisions” by
amending section 18-9 pertaining to fence and wall regulations. Staff Contact: J. Conkle,

D. Zoning Ordinance Amendment 022-2010 by the City of Hampton to amend and re-enact
Chapter 1 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia entitled “Zones and
General Provisions” by amending section 1-2 pertaining to zoning maps and adding section
1-5 pertaining to aircraft noise and aircraft accident potential zones and boundaries and
section 1-6 pertaining to special regulations regarding discretionary zoning applications in air

E. Zoning Ordinance Amendment 024-2011: Ordinance to amend and reenact chapter 18 of
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia entitled “General Provisions” by
amending section 18-16 pertaining to projections allowed in yards and courts. Staff Contact:

F. Zoning Ordinance Amendment 027-2011: Ordinance to amend and reenact chapter 17.3,
article V of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia entitled “Flood Zone
District” by amending section 17.3-33.1.A pertaining to the adoption date of the new Flood
Insurance Study and Flood Insurance Rate Map effective August 16, 2011. Staff Contact:

Zoning Ordinance Amendment 025-2011 to amend and re-enact the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Hampton, Virginia by deleting sections 3-1(28), 3.1-2(8), 3.2-2(8), 3.3-2(8), 3.4-
2(8), 4-1(9) and 5-1(18) pertaining to “Garage and Yard Sales.” Staff C. Dyser, 728-5238 or

H. Public Hearing-no action
Zoning Ordinance Amendment 026-2011 to amend and re-enact the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Hampton, Virginia by amending chapter 18 “General Provisions” by adding a

Hampton Planning Commission meetings are open to the public. The public is invited to attend meetings
and to observe the work and deliberations of the Planning Commission. The public may also address the
Planning Commission on public hearing items by signing up to speak. Public hearing sign-up sheets will
be available until the specific item is reached during the course of the meeting. Speakers will be
recognized in the order in which they sign up and are asked to state their name and address, to limit their
comments to 3 minutes, and to avoid repeating comments made by previous speakers.
