Rezoning Application No. 20-00005: This is a rezoning application by Old Town Development, LLC and Rob the Builder, Inc. to rezone parcels at 1538 W. Queen Street [LRSN: 2000007] and 1540 W. Queen Street [LRSN: 2000006], totaling +4.28 acres, from Multiple Residence [R-M] District and One-Family Residence (R-13) District to Multiple Dwelling (MD-4) District with proffered conditions. Approval of this application would permit development of approximately 38 apartment units distributed among two (2) buildings. The Hampton Community Plan (2006, as amended) recommends high density residential for this area. B. Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 20-00025: This Is A Proposal By The City of Hampton To Amend And Re-Enact The Zoning Ordinance Of The City Of Hampton, Virginia by Amending Chapter 1 Entitled, “General Provisions” Pertaining to Minimum Green Area Requirements For All One and Two Family Residences. Approval of this amendment would set a minimum requirement for green area in yards between a house and a street on lots with one family, two family, and duplexes as primary uses. This amendment would also create a requirement that for all new impervious area a zoning permit be obtained. VI. Community Development Director’s Report A. The public is invited to attend meetings and to observe the work and deliberations of the Planning Commission.
