Minutes of the March 17, 2022 Planning Commission Meeting IV. Public Hearing Items A. Use Permit Application No. 22-00003: This is a use permit application by Hampton Yacht Club, Inc. to permit a marina at 4706 Victoria Boulevard [LRSN: 2003821]. The Hampton Community Plan (2006, as amended) recommends medium density residential for this area. The Downtown Hampton Master Plan (2017, as amended) in Initiative Area 7: Victoria Boulevard Neighborhood emphasizes support for the historic character in the neighborhood and maintaining visual access to the Hampton River. Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 22-00005: This is a proposal by the City of Hampton to amend and re-enact the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia by amending Chapter 3, Section 3-2 entitled, “Table of Uses Permitted” and Section 3-3 entitled, “Additional Standards on Uses” to modify regulations pertaining to restaurants, micro-breweries, -distilleries, and -wineries, and breweries, distilleries, and wineries. Approval of this amendment would streamline and clarify how live entertainment and onsite alcoholic beverage sales are permitted and under what conditions in various districts.
