Rezoning Application No. 21-00014: This is a rezoning application by Michel Properties, LLC to rezone + 0.8648 acres located at 53 Wythe Creek Road [LRSN: 6001176], within Wythe Creek Commerce Park, from Limited Manufacturing (M-1) District to Light Manufacturing (M-2) District, with conditions, for the use of vehicle repair, light. The Hampton Community Plan (2006, as amended) recommends business/industrial for this area. This item is being referred back to the Planning Commission by the City Council. Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 22-00001: Hampton Community Plan (2006, as amended): by the City of Hampton to consider amendments to the Hampton Community Plan (2006, as amended) to adopt the 2022 Hampton Roads Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan updates the existing Hampton Roads Hazard Mitigation Plan, which was adopted in 2017. The Hampton Roads Hazard Mitigation Plan combines Hampton’s plan with five other regional plans. Recommendations include mitigation actions, local policies, incentives, and public awareness and outreach. The plan, as well as its implementation, review, and maintenance, are required under the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000.
