Since that is New Year’s Day and City offices are closed, Wayne suggested that we move our meeting to the following Monday, January 8. A motion to move the January 2024 meeting date to January 8 was made by Randy and seconded by Ruth. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Board Member Updates Wayne provided a quick update regarding the reappointment of James Goodbody and Malik Perry. This was not on Council’s October 25 agenda, but it was understood that it will be on the November 8 agenda. Treasurer’s Report Melissa presented the Treasurer’s report that included six approved expenses totaling $86,126 and a balance of $261,223. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. 2 11/30/2023 Locker Room and Scoreboard McCord provided an update on the Locker Room and Scoreboard items. Scoreboard – The City has funded the scoreboard replacement. The City project will be turn key using the existing foundation. Locker Room – The cost estimate for the ‘as designed’ locker room project was $2.7 million, nominally double what was expected or budgeted. As a result the City project has been split into two phases: • Phase 1 – Renovation: renovating the existing building into both home and away locker areas and umpire locker areas • Phase 2 – Addition: adding the coaches’ rooms, training room, laundry room, maintenance room, and storage area The City has funded phase 1; and will consider the completion of phase 2 in the future. The board desires proceeding with the current ‘as designed’ drawings to include phase 1 while ensuring that phase 2 could be completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner in the future. A motion was made by Randy and second by Garth to move on with current drawings and Phase 1 - Renovation with two provisions: • Accommodate a low-cost Phase 2 based on future funding; • Accommodate ice and laundry services in the renovated facility. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. PSA Organizational Structure Discussion Angela reported that she is trying to schedule meetings between a couple PSA members and some representatives from similar entities – such as those associated with the American Theatre and the History Museum. As these meetings are scheduled, updates will be provided. PSA volunteers for the meetings are Melissa, Wayne, Garth, and Ruth. Winter Project Update Garth provided an update on the winter projects. Most notable was the start of the old concession stand renovation. The other projects will be prioritized with Matt throughout the winter.
