Bookkeeping Updates
Angela provided the following update:
A draft of the 2021 updated financial statement with requested historical information, city funding, and
year ending accounts payable was distributed for information to board members. City Finance staff is
reviewing the updated draft and will check the ability of their CPA to audit the board’s financial
statements.
City Project Update - Locker Room
Angela provided the following update:
The Notice of Intent to Proceed with Option 2 was issued, with a Feb 15 completion date and a price of
$1.5 million. This option was selected to minimize disruption for all parties. City staff is working to
obtain a signed contract in the next two weeks.
Safety Additions
Patti Parker, the City’s Risk Manager, discussed safety and ADA considerations for the stands:
City staff has reviewed several historical documents; these were presented to the board (see
attachments). City staff and the Board are focused on safety and ADA compliance. The group discussed
several options and ideas that address both safety and ADA considerations. While no decisions were
made, general consensus is that ‘improvements’ should be completed for the 2025 season and that we
should proceed with having Hudson & Associates Architects update their stadium study. Design
considerations for the playground should also be included. Patti is coordinating that request.
David Stanger provided personal thoughts on the stadium in relation to ADA access and his experience
attending games. David uses a wheelchair.
Parking Lots
Angela continues to work with city Zoning to review parking options for the stadium. Nick has been
assigned as the PSA board coordinator to work with Angela and the Pilots. A comprehensive site plan
including the following considerations should be performed:
• Equipment storage and garbage dumpster locations – pads if necessary
• Salters Creek parking possibilities
• Fire department (emergency) access to stands and field
• Parking outside of designated areas
• Concourse design
• Playground design
• Any other improvements or access issues
Winter Projects 2024/25
Garth reviewed the two approved winter projects - fund Pitch Clocks at $15k and fund Padded Outfield
Wall at $60k. Additional winter projects will be considered in the future based in part on the
comprehensive site plan.
