During the City Projects discussions, one additional member arrived (Malik). Minutes A motion to accept the November meeting minutes was made by Melissa and seconded by Randy. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer’s Report John presented the Treasurer’s report that included 2 approved expenses totaling $342 (one Otis invoice – monthly service - $277; and one QuickBooks invoice - $65), with a deposit of $1.37 for interest and a balance of $83,392. A copy of the summary report was provided to the secretary. A motion to accept the November month end treasurer’s reports was made by Garth and seconded by Melissa. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Wayne will pick up and deposit the check for the full 2024/2025 allocation of $160,500 from the City. City Projects Update - Locker Room Update Matt and Dave provided a quick update of the locker room project. The project remains on schedule with mid-February completion. Additional details include: • Swap out of exterior cinderblock to alleviate a schedule impact was approved by the architect • Contractor hit unexpected sewer pipe and underground electrical cable; expect change order to address impact  2 12/18/2024 • Ritchie Curbow needs to provide a quote for completing playground work that was not contemplated in the original scope (playground fences needed to be moved / playset rotated) Winter Projects 2024/25 The two approved winter projects are being worked on by the Pilots. Suppliers for both projects informed the Pilots of cost increases. The Board has requested the Pilots to push back on both suppliers and also inquire with NNS Apprentice School of possible in-kind offsets. Board members furthermore recommended the Pilots move timely through this process given constraints with the City permitting process. To ensure both projects are completed prior to baseball season, if supplier negotiations are not successful, a motion to accept the two cost increases detailed below was made by Garth and seconded by Jerri. • Padded Wall – increase from $60k to $75k for shipping and tax • Pitch Clock – increase from $15k to $20k for electrical work (this includes a reduction of the numbers of clocks from 3 to 2) All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Peninsula Pilots Updates The following highlight was provided by the Pilots and Community Baseball, LLC (CB LLC): • Five Division I Collegiate Baseball Games are scheduled for War Memorial Stadium in 2025 o This supports our goal of bringing people to the City of Hampton New Business • Public Works has requested a drainage easement on Salters Creek Road. This will be discussed at the January meeting. • Angela will provide a Reorganization Update at the January meeting. The Chair adjourned the meeting at 12:50 p.m. Next regular meeting is January 6, 2025, at 12:00 pm at War Memorial Stadium.
