Guthrie Memorial Library Board of Governors Meeting March 9, 2023 Attendance: Nat Fissel, Chrissy Rosensteel, Steve Sherman, Kristina Rodgers, Barb Eisenhart (Teams), Abbey Lukiewski (teams), Andy Smith, Mark Riggs, Margie Lewis, & Faith Soto (staff). The meeting was called to order at 12:19 PM by Chrissy Rosensteel Approval of February 2023 Minutes: Approved with a motion by Mark Riggs, second by Steve Sherman. Staff Spotlight: Faith Soto shared her experience and role at the library. Faith began her career at Guthrie in December 2021 as Administrative Assistant. Committee Reports: Nominating: No report. Fundraising/Annual Campaign: Steve reported that the committee is scheduled to meet on March 16th at 3:30 PM in the Board Room. Honors: No report. Report of the Director: Shanna shared her report via e-mail prior to the meeting. HPLA Finance Commission: Chrissy shared the Peoples Bank Wealth Management report dated March 3, 2023. Borough Manager Report: Margie reported that the borough’s financial audit is underway. There is also a Stormwater Management project meeting scheduled for the public on April 13th beginning at 6 PM. YCL: No report. Friends of the Library: Reminder that the annual book sale will take place from March 30 – April 2. Old Business: Margie reported that the Borough is looking further into the independent contractor model to fulfill the development role at the library. New Business: None. The meeting was adjourned at 12:35 PM with a motion by Mark Riggs, second by Nat Fissel. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 13, 2023, @ 12:15.
