Townhall Persons wishing to address the public body must register prior to Call to Order. Please note that public comment is limited to 5 minutes per speaker. 6. Old Business 6-a. Historic Preservation of Photographs – ongoing 6-b. Historic Preservation/Organizing Documents/Items of Historical Significance – ongoing 6-c. Discuss process and resources for identifying structures of historical significance including Sears & Montgomery Ward Catalogue homes built in Hanover Park – ongoing 6-d. Heritage Marker Program • 2022 Marker Program: o 04/25/2023: The plaques for the property have been received and the Village Staff is coordinating installation efforts  • 2023 Marker Program: Identify recipients. o 01/24/2023: The committee had a discussion and will be considering Ana Marek and 27W250 Ontarioville Rd known as the “Executive House” for the 2023 Heritage Marker Program. o 04/25/2023: The Committee selected Ana Marek and 27W250 Ontarioville Rd known as the “Executive House” for the 2023 Heritage Marker Program. o 08/22/2023: Write-ups for Heritage Marker plaques are needed so the plaques can be ordered. 6-e. National Registry of Historic Places: 27W250 Ontarioville Rd known as the “Executive House.” 7. Action Items – None. 8. New Business 8-a. Board Liaison Update: • Trustee Gutierrez will be meeting with J. Kevin Baldwin with Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 1510 Greenbrook Blvd, on August 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. 8-b. Staff Liaison Update • Next meeting is September 26, 2023 • Tablecloth was ordered and should be in by next meeting. Sample is attached. 9. CALL TO ORDER – ROLL CALL Chairman Irene Walther called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. PRESENT: Members: Trustee Liza Gutierrez, Chairman Irene Walther, Member Erika Griesemer, Member Lisa Mueller, ABSENT: Members: Member Ruth Carlson, Member Ken Carlson VILLAGE Officer Kevin Pini STAFF PRESENT: GUESTS: 2. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA Member Griesemer made a motion to approve the Agenda for May which was seconded by Member Mueller. Voice Vote. All Ayes. Motion Passes. 3. PRESENTATIONS / REPORTS: 3-a. None. 4. Member Griesemer made a motion to select both Ana Marek and 27W250 Ontarioville Rd known as the “Executive House” for the 2023 Heritage Marker Program. The motion was seconded by Member Mueller. Voice Vote. All Ayes. Motion Passes. 8. NEW BUSINESS (NON-ACTION ITEMS): 8-a. Stained glass rose from the Marek property was presented to the committee. Photos of the stained glass are attached. The committee will explore the possibility of having the stained-glass picture repaired/restored. 8-b. Board Liaison Update: Member Griesemer donated a 1979 Welcoming packet from the Village of Hanover Park which includes a Village newsletter published by long-time resident, Nancy Cicero, in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Member Griesemer advised us that Nancy is working to provide us a digital archive of the newsletter. 8-c. Staff Liaison Update: • The June 27th meeting will not be held due to a lack of agenda items and conflicting schedules. The next meeting will be on August 22, 2023. • Based on feedback from the committee a tablecloth will be purchased for future events in an effort to promote the committee.
