MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER – ROLL CALL- The meeting was called to order at 1130am by
Trustee Porter. Present at the meeting were Trustee Herb Porter, Mary Kay
Prusnick, Village Clerk Kristy Merrill and Laura Reilly. Sherry Craig arrived at the
meeting at 1134am. Attending the meeting were Tricia Rossi, Lt. Weil, Officer Pini
and Officer Garcia.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA- A motion to accept the agenda was made by Mary Kay
Prusnick and seconded by Laura Reilly. All were in favor.
3. PRESENTATIONS/REPORTS-
3a. Sign Cost – DVM Webb reported that the cost for yard signs would be
approximately $32 a sign however ER2 is a corporate sponsor and the cost could be
applied to the sponsorship.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES-
4a. May 5, 2021- A motion to approve the May 5, 2021 minutes was made by Mary
Kay Prusnick and seconded by Laura Reilly. All were in favor.
5. ACTION ITEMS- none
6. TOWNHALL SESSION- none
7. NEW BUSINESS-
7a. Membership (Sherry Craig)- Sherry Craig discussed an idea to possibly expand
the membership or begin inviting members of the PTA, PTO or schools to the
meetings in order to stay in tune with what is going on in Hanover Park and expand
participation. The committee member were in supportive of the idea and Village
Clerk Merrill and Sherry Craig will reach out the schools. Laura Reilly suggested
inviting the Park District to the meeting as well. She will speak with Park District
Staff. DVM noted that an ordinance change would be needed if actual membership
to the committee were to be expanded.
8. OLD BUSINESS-
8a. Corks & Crafts- Discussion was had on the need for alcohol vendors and food
trucks vendors. Sue Krauser and DVM Webb have not been having a good response
to inquiries on either. Committee members offered suggestions and would look on
their own as well. Officer Pini reported that Officer Garcia and himself are becoming
BASSETT instructors and would be able to train Village staff for the upcoming Corks
& Crafts festival.
9. ADJOURNMENT- A motion to adjourn was made at 1214pm by Mary Kay Prusnick
and seconded by Village Clerk Kristy Merrill. All were in favor.
