HAYES TOWNSHIP \?7/\7\{ October 8, 2024 (0 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Jones called the General Meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present — Supervisor Jones, Trustee Buckley, Trustee Teall, and Clerk Hoyt Members absent — Treasurer Rood Motion Teall/Buckley to approve the agenda with the additions of the Fire Contract with the City of Harrison and reduction in cost of two (2) properties in the Road Improvement/Dust Control Special Assessment Roll due to the recent paving on Ball Avenue. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Jones/Teall to open the public hearing. All ayes, motion carried. The public hearing was opened at 10:06 a.m. Concerns were raised by residents in attendance with one (1) written complaint from Brian Surgener and Tara Fry which was provided to all board members. Any resident with a concern was allowed to review the tax roll, prepared by the assessor, to confirm the new rate that would be on their tax bill. Motion Jones/Teall to close the public hearing. All ayes, motion carried. The public hearing was closed at 10:23 a.m. Motion Hoyt/Jones to adopt Resolution 24-06 Road Improvement Special Assessment District. Roll call: Jones — aye, Buckley — aye, Teall — aye, Hoyt — aye. Resolution 24-06 is adopted. Motion Hoyt/Teall to adopt Resolution 24-07 Road Improvement Special Assessment District with a correction in to add public roads. Roll call: Jones — aye, Buckley — aye, Teall — aye, Hoyt — aye. Resolution 24-07 is adopted. Motion Teall/Buckley to approve of bills to be paid. Motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Teall to approve the City of Harrison — Hayes Township Fire Protection Services Agreement in the amount of $136,204.08.
