CITY COMMON COUNCIL OF HARTFORD CITY, INDIANA SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 18, 2022 MEETING MINUTES CALL TO ORDER & WELCOME: Mayor Eckstein called to order a meeting of the Common Council of the City of Hartford City at 6:00pm August 18, 2022. ROLL CALL: Members of the council present were Ron Dudelston, Ron Parrott, Michael Wolfe and Dustin George. Also in attendance were Mayor Dan Eckstein and Clerk-Treasurer, Dana Whatley. Mr. Tony Scaggs and Attorney Brandon Murphy were absent. UPDATE ON NEWBERRY BUILDING PROJECT: Mr. Greg Martz and Mr. Warren Brown attended tonight’s meeting to give an update to the Council as well as answer any questions that the Councilmen might have. They explained how much of the project has been completed to date, the road bumps they’ve encountered and over the budgeting piece was discussed too. After much discussion and questioning it was decided to have an open viewing of the Newberry Building for any in leadership that would like to attend. That viewing is scheduled for Monday, August 29, 2022 at 12 noon. As far as finishing work to the project it was discussed to try and move forward with a local contractor to do the electrical work, carpentry and trim work. Mr. George stated he knows of a local contractor that he will reach out and see if he has time and interest in finishing out this project. It is the common goal of everyone to finish this project in a timely fashion so that we can move forward with occupying all spaces with new tenants. ADJOURNMENT: FOLDER 2/REC 160607_001
