SPECIAL MEETING CITY COMMON COUNCIL OF HARTFORD CITY, INDIANA DECEMBER 19, 2023 MEETING MINUTES CALL TO ORDER & WELCOME: Mayor Eckstein called to order a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Hartford City at 6:00pm December 19, 2023. ROLL CALL: Members of the council present were Michael Wolfe, Tony Scaggs, Ron Parrott, and Ron Dudelston. Mayor Eckstein, and Clerk-Treasurer Dana Whatley were also present. Dustin George and Attorney Brandon Murphy were absent. DPW – REQUEST TO ENCUMBER MONEY FOR CCMG GRANT MATCH: Mr. Thomas explained the paving work planned for 2024. He stated that the application for a CCMG grant is open for 3 weeks in January. He requested to encumber $38,000 out of his funds to use towards a financial match for this grant. Mr. Dudelston made a motion to approve this encumbrance request. Mr. Scaggs seconded the motion. The vote to approve was 4-0-1. ADJOURNMENT: With there being no further business, Mr. Scaggs made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 6:12 pm. FOLDER 2/REC 35
