EXECUTIVE SUMMARY BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This Workshop is focused on the presentation, review, and discussion of a proposed Master Land Use Plan, a foundational document used for other planning and analysis. Zoning is defining the permissible Land Use within our corporate limits. 'Future Land Use' is defining the permissible Use of land should that land be annexed into the City's corporate limits. A Master Plan consolidates the Present with the Future by providing a consolidated plan which incorporates: • City's existing Zoning, and • The City's intent of Zoning applied to any Agricultural Land within its corporate limits and intent of Zoning applied to any of its Extra-territorial Jurisdiction upon annexation. A Master Land Use Plan is also a foundational plan for the development of the CIty's: • Water & Sewer Master Plans, and • Thoroughfare Plan, The sum of these plans is the City's Comprehensive Plan. The Master Plan is also a foundational document for engineering to perform: • Impact Fee Analysis, and • Water & Sewer Rate Studies. Page 2 of 2
