City of Haslet Agenda Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6:30 PM Haslet Community Center, 105 Main Street Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of the Haslet Planning and Zoning Commission to be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6:30 PM, at the Haslet Community Center, 105 Main Street. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM PRESENT 2. CITIZENS PARTICIPATION AND COMMENTS An opportunity for citizens to address the Planning and Zoning Commission (Commission) on matters which are on the agenda or are not scheduled for consideration (non-agenda items). The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits deliberation by the Commission of any subject which is not on the posted agenda, therefore the Commission will not be able to discuss or take action on items not listed on this agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry. NOTE: In order to address the Commission during this time, or later in the meeting for any item that is scheduled on the agenda, please complete, and submit a speaker card to the City Secretary prior to the start of the meeting. The presiding officer may ask the speaker to hold comments on agenda items until that agenda item is reached. 3. ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST Any expressions of thanks, congratulations, or condolence; information regarding holiday schedules; honorary recognitions of city officials, employees, or citizens; reminders about upcoming events sponsored by the city or other entity that is to be attended by a city official or employee; and announcements involving imminent threats to the public health and safety. 3.A. May 2, 2026 General Election - The first day to file an application for a place on the May 2, 2026 General Election Ballot was Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Council Member Place 1, Council Member Place 3, and Council Member Place 5 will be on the ballot. Friday, February 13, 2026, is the last day to file an application. 3.B. City Holiday Hours - All City of Haslet Offices and the Haslet Public Library will be closed Monday, February 16, 2026 in observance of President's Day. 4. Discuss, consider and act to approve Resolution XXX-2025 in support for the proposed grade separation over BNSF tracks, FM156, and Schoolhouse Road. Presentation: Mayor Hulsey presented this item and included that the bridge design includes grade separation from Avondale-Haslet over BNSF RR tracks, FM 156 and Schoolhouse Road from John Day to Haslet Parkway and includes bike/pedestrian lanes as well. NTCOG has also committed to this project and the final grant notification is expected to be received in late February 2026. Additionally Keith Montone, CTDI Vice-President and Josh Hawkins, Contractor Project Manager were present and available for questions. 2) Public Hearing - Vice-Chair Wallick opened at 6:47pm. Keith Montone, CTDI Vice-President and Josh Hawkins, Contractor Project Manager spoke in support of the project. Recognizing there were no other speakers, Vice-Chair Wallick closed the Public Hearing at 7:01 pm. 3) Discuss, consider and act. PZ-31-2025 Moved by Doreen Snediker Seconded by Chuck Tackett Motion to approval of an Amended Site and Landscape Plan for 405 Westport Parkway as presented.
