Village of Hawkins Caucus January 8, 2024 5:15 p.m. Caucus called to order by Pres. Jill Baker. Purpose of Caucus: Nominate persons for three (3) Village Trustee positions – all three (3) positions are two year terms. Board members present: Doug VanDoorn, Karen Howard and Amanda Bratlie. Christa Luebke absent. Doug VanDoornmade a motion to nominate Pres. Jill Baker to chair the Caucus, second by Karen Howard. Motion carried. Alicia Valentine reported that current Village Trustee, Karen Howard, submitted a notice of non- candidacy. Pres. Jill Baker opened nominations for Village Trustee, two year term. Doug VanDoorn nominated Amanda Bratlie, second by Karen Howard. Baker called three times for more nominations. There were none. Baker closed nominations for Village Trustee – two year term. Pres. Jill Baker opened nominations for Village Trustee, two year term. Karen Howard nominated Doug VanDoorn, second by Pres. Jill Baker. Baker called three times for more nominations. There were none.
