The Town Board of the Town of Hempstead, New York, met at the Town Meeting Pavilion,
Hempstead Town Hall, 1 Washington Street, Hempstead, New York, on Tuesday, December 5. 2023
at 10:30 A.M.

Supervisor Clavin asked Councilmember Carini to lead the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance to
our flag.
Supervisor Clavin stated that the Town Attorney would like to bring one hearing to attention. Town
Attorney Maccarone addressed the Supervisor and members of the Town Board by stating that based
upon his discussions with outside counsel, and attorneys for the property owners, he requests the
hearing on today's schedule regarding the Capri Hotel, Item No. 28, Case No's 30958 & 30676 be
Adjourned for a Hearing Date of January 30, 2024. The motion was made by Councilmember
Muscarella and seconded by Deputy Supervisor Goosby.

Supervisor Clavin congratulated Councilwoman Miller on the Legislation she
was an advocate for it in Albany, stating that she brought "Common Sense
down here". The Supervisor also added that "it was nice to know that
apparently somebody read the story up in Albany and they are finally going to
make a move on this statewide so good work for your advocacy you started
here and its going to be staying". Deputy Supervisor Goosby added that she
attended the meeting in Albany and that some of the people who were there
that Councilwoman Miller had worked with were very happy and wanted the
Deputy Supervisor to tell the Councilwoman congratulations.
