23 CITY OF HENDERSON – RECORD BOOK Record of Minutes of Called Work Session/Inner City Improvement Plan Orientation Meeting on February 15, 2023 A Called Work Session/Inner City Improvement Plan Orientation of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Henderson, Kentucky, was held on Tuesday, February 15, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., prevailing time, at the Henderson Municipal Services Center (MSC) located at 1449 Corporate Court, Henderson, Kentucky. Director; David Steele, Sanitation Superintendent; Bruce Thomas, Recreation Facility Supervisor; Mary Ann Whitledge, Account Representative; Matt Calvert, HWU Chief Engineer; Nancy Stone, Occupational Tax Technician; and Marty Wilson, Police Officer ALSO PRESENT: Brittney Smith; Bobbie Jarrett; Charles Johnson; Butch Puttman; Michelle Chappell; Gene Powell; Ronnie Duncan; Lisa Fulkerson; Scott Fulkerson; Tim Hobbs; Nivea Carter; Becky Stone; Matthew Reynolds; Missy Vanderpool; Amber Wood; Kevin Gibson; Marcos Nicolas, Jr.; Eric Stinson; Tammy Sutton; Spencer Bloodworth; Winton Chaney; Chip Stauffer; Courtney Woolfork; Darlene Marshall-Ware; Stacey Gilbert; Herbert McKee, Jr.; Steve Gold; Ernest Green; Bobbie Jo Marx; Ruth Allen; Chad Thompson; Mi’Oshi Holloway; Brenna Caudill; Harvey Ershig; Brian Bishop; Tre Perkins; Abby Dixon; Ryan Monroe; Molly Galloway; Ben Groves; Cooper Wayne Beck; Deborah Hoda; David Petrie; Katherine Short; Dwight Williams; ________________________ THE FOLLOWING AGENDA ITEMS WERE DISCUSSED: Discussion and Orientation of the Inner City Improvement Plan Committees  Mayor Staton gave a brief overview of the Plan and reported that each Committee was provided with an Informational Sheet detailing the Committee Structure which included that no chair should be a member of the Board of Commissioners or a member of the NuWorks team, each Committee should meet at least once per month between now and September scheduling meetings at a time and location most convenient for its members, a joint midway meeting has been scheduled for June 22, 2023, 5:00 p.m., at MSC, 1449 Corporate Court, where each Committee will make a preliminary report on proposed projects and issues that have been identified, and that due to Open Records requirements, a city staff member will be provided to note attendance, keep minutes, and notice upcoming meetings to the media/public. All meetings are open to the general public. It is anticipated that final presentations will be scheduled for some time in September. o Each Committee was also provided with a Talking Points list of potential projects and/or issues previously identified for discussion.  The five committees broke out into separate groups to determine future meeting dates/times/locations and discuss potential projects and issues.
