7 CITY OF HENDERSON – RECORD BOOK Record of Minutes of A Called Joint City/Henderson Water & Sewer Commission Meeting on January 12, 2024 A special called meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Henderson, Kentucky, was held in conjunction with the Henderson Water and Sewer Commission on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., prevailing time, in the third floor Assembly Room of the Municipal Center, 222 First Street, Henderson, Kentucky. There were present Mayor Bradley S. Staton presiding: PRESENT: Commissioner Austin P. Vowels Commissioner Rodney Thomas Commissioner Robert N. Pruitt, Sr. Commissioner Nicholas E. Whitt ALSO PRESENT: Mr. William L. “Buzzy” Newman, Jr., City Manager Mrs. Dawn Kelsey, City Attorney Ms. Maree Collins, City Clerk Mr. Travis Owens, IT Programmer/Analyst Mr. Victor Carson, IT Network Administrator I Mr. Bart Boles, Henderson Water Utility General Manager Mr. Todd Bowley, Henderson Water Utility Chief Financial Officer Mr. Kevin Roberts, Director of Operations Ms. Autumn Hansbrough, HWU Mr. Paul Bird, Henderson Water & Sewer Commission Chair Mr. Steve Austin, Henderson Water & Sewer Commission Mr. George Jones, Henderson Water & Sewer Commission Mr. Eric Shappell, Henderson Water & Sewer Commission Attorney Ms. Missy Vanderpool, Henderson Economic Development Executive Director ________________________ WATER AND SEWER COMMISSION CHAIR BIRD asked that Roll Call for the Water and Sewer Commission be conducted. ________________________ EXECUTIVE SESSION: “Real Property” MOTION by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Pruitt, that the Board of Commissioners go into Executive Session pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(b) for the purpose of discussions of the possible sale or purchase of property located in the vicinity of Old Corydon Road and KY Hwy 425. The vote was called. On roll call, the vote stood. Commissioner Vowels Aye: Commissioner Pruitt Aye: Commissioner Thomas Aye: Commissioner Whitt Aye: Mayor Staton -------------- Aye: WATER AND SEWER COMMISSION CHAIR BIRD entertained a motion for the Water and Sewer Commission to adjourn into Executive Session. WHEREUPON, Mayor Staton declared the Boards adjourned into Executive Session. ________________________ MEETING RECONVENED: MOTION by Commissioner Pruitt, seconded by Commissioner Thomas, that the Board of Commissioners reconvene into regular session.
