I. CALL TO ORDER
(Minutes/Discussion)
Mayor March called the Committee Meeting to order at 3:45 p.m., in the
City Council Chambers, City Hall, 240 South Water Street, Henderson,
Nevada 89015.
Mayor March announced due to the termination of the State of Nevada
Executive Department Declaration of Emergency Directive 006 as of
May 31, 2021, in-person attendance will be allowed consistent with CDC
guidelines. However, in accordance with Declaration of Emergency Directive
047, individuals shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or
face covering in a manner consistent with the guidance issued by the CDC, and
any subsequent guidance issued by the CDC. She requested residents please
check www.cdc.gov for additional information.
To make it easier for residents to voice their comments, there will be two public
comment periods. There will be one at the beginning of the meeting, designated
for comments related to items on the agenda, and one at the end of the
meeting, for general public comment.
Mayor March said residents may use the WebEx link to speak live to the
Council or comment in person, and the meeting is being video recorded and
streamed live to the Internet and on YouTube.

Mayor Debra March made the following abstention statement: “This item is a
bill that provides development approval to Calvary Chapel Green Valley Church
and Academy. I’m a member of Calvary Chapel. My interests as a member of
the church could be perceived to affect the independence of my judgment on
this matter. Accordingly, in an abundance of caution, I will abstain from voting
and deliberation on this matter.”

limitation, yelling, stamping of feet, whistles, applause, heckling, name calling,
use of profanity, personal attacks, physical intimidation, threatening use of
physical force, assault, battery, or any other acts intended to impede the
meeting or infringe on the rights of the Henderson City Council, City staff, or
meeting participants.
