CALL TO ORDER Present Virtual: Matthew Hickman, Mark Pavao, Patsy DuPre, Jared Bellmund, Becky Ayers, Matt Johnes (late signing on) Present in person: Walt Slagel. April 2021 Downtown Advisory Board Minutes Matthew Hickman made a motion to approve the April 2021 minutes. Jared Bellmund seconed. Matthew Hickman, Mark Pavao, Patsy DuPre, Jared Bellmund, Becky Ayers, Walt Slagel, and Caroline Gunther all voted in favor of approving the minutes. 5. OLD BUSINESS 6. NEW BUSINESS 1. Facade Grant Application - 330 7th Avenue E This grant item was recommended unanimously by the Community Character Team on May 11, 2021. Patsy DuPre made a motion to approve the Facade Grant for 330 7th Avenue E. Becky Ayers seconded. Matthew Hickman, Mark Pavao, Patsy DuPre, Jared Bellmund, Becky Ayers, Walt Slagel, and Caroline Gunther 2. Rhythm & Brews 2021 - M. Friedheim Meredith Fridheim, downtown events coordinator, gave a review of upcoming Rhythm & Brews events, starting in July. 3. July 10 LoveHendo Saturday Beer Garden Proposal - J. Carpenter DOWNTOWN ADVISORY BOARD MAY 2021 – May 11, 2021 Page | 1  Jamie Carpenter, downtown manager, asked the downtown advisory board about their opinions on allowing breweries to set up on Main Street using their special event off premise permits during LoveHendo Saturday. This would essentially allow Main Street as an open container district during LoveHendo Saturday. There was a lengthy discussion on liability for downtown businesses. The general conclusion was that while the idea had some possibilities it needs to be further explored and should be considered when planning for events next year when staff can plan with more time. 4. Letter of Support - Pedestrian Plan Update Jared Bellmund made a motion to approve the letter of support for the Pedestrian Plan update. Walt Slagel seconded.
