MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER
Present: Linda DiPaola, Caroline Gunther, Patsy DuPre, Matthew Hickman
Staff present: Jamie Carpenter
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. June Community Character Minutes
Patsy DuPre made a motion to approve. Caroline Gunther seconded. All were in favor.
3. OLD BUSINESS
1. 7th Avenue Branding Update
Jamie Carpenter gave an update. The branding process will be on hold with plans to revisit in
November.
4. NEW BUSINESS
1. Sidewalk Mural Project
J. Carpenter gave an update on the sidewalk mural project. Received a grant for $10,000 for
sidewalk mural on 5th Avenue. Received over 20 designs, narrowed to 9 for selection.
2. African American History Project
J. Carpenter reported the creation of a group to preserve the African American neighborhoods
and their history. Partnership with Hands On/ Peoples Museum, Black History Research
Committee, Historic Preservation Commission and other community partners.
5. OTHER BUSINESS
Matthew Hickman reported Underground Bakery has completed their facade.
