CITY OF HENDERSONVILLE DOWNTOWN ECONOMIC VITALITY TEAM Virtual - Zoom Tuesday, January 05, 2021 – 4:00 PM MINUTES 1. CALL TO ORDER In attendance: Jared Bellmund, Caroline Gunther, Mark Pavao Staff present: Jamie Carpenter, Meredith Friedheim 2. AGENDA ITEMS 1. Review of Economic Vitality Workplan Items Wifi Improvements: The City is working with VC3 (tech support) to install higher speed wifi access. Parking: ParkMobile App has launched for city lots to pay by app. Jamie will create a flyer for businesses to use to inform customers. The team discussed curbside parking and reviewed the current curbside locations and asked for the barricades and signage to be cleaned up. Jamie will work with public works to remove excess parking locations that are not being used for curbside purposes. We will not remove spots that are being frequented by businesses/customers due to Covid restrictions. As restrictions ease and meters are being considered, permanent curbside solutions will be considered. 2. Update on ongoing projects related to Economic Vitality Parking garage slated to begin demolition soon, construction to begin in Spring. 3. Informal discussion & Public comment related to: HandsOn! Is proposing a partnership with the City at Council. 3.
