CALL TO ORDER A. Call to Order- Kelly Pahle, Chairperson Mary Ellen is online, Grady is online APPROVAL OF AGENDA 2. Approval of Minutes (Did anyone take any at the last meeting?) - Gracie Erwin, Staff Liaison Got notes from Ann Twiggs. Next meeting review two sets of minutes PRESENTATIONS 4. Asheville Greenworks Presentation- Eric Bradford, Guest Presenter 200 projects a year They started the trashtrout in hendo 75% of trash is stormwater driven Design of the trash trout- focus on minimizing stream impairment 32 trash trouts, 10 local clean out frequency is about 4 weeks, ~17.3 lbs dry weight excluding woody debris display trashtrout and its findings at green expo 5. ICLEI- Tom Herrod, Guest Presenter Operates in 5 pathways Local Gov sustainability, decarbonization, community resilience, circular economy, resource management, nature and health, equity people centered ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY BOARD – November 17, 2022 Page | 1 OLD BUSINESS 6. Budget Allocation vote for community garden birdhouses- Kelly Pahle, Chairperson up to 300 to 2nd nature, everyone present voted yes. *need to ask billing if we can donate, or get an itemized invoice? 7. EV Presentation re-cap and resolution draft- Will Garvey, Board member SUBCOMMITTEE UPDATES 8. Bee City- Will Garvey, Board member 9. Recycling and Plastics- Geri Conley, Board Member Added Saluda and hopefully Brevard to come soon 10. Green Expo- Ann Twiggs, Board member met with Jamie- application accepted, time to be 10-3 11. City Council- Lyndsey Simson, Council Woman Lyndsey not present; ESB manager position is posted.
