CALL TO ORDER Meeting called to order at 3:36pm Present: Jill Carter, Gina Baxter, Virginia Tegel, Omar Zafra, Tanya Guzman, Jane Edgar (remotely), and Grady Nance Absent: Frank Stewart 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Grady Nance approved first followed by Gina Baxter 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Approval of September 2024 meeting minutes Grady Nance approved first followed by Jill Carter 4. OLD BUSINESS 2. Hendo Earth Fest update and decide on new co-chair - Frank Stewart, sub-committee chair Frank presented at the Downtown Advisory Board meeting with the event application approved. At the nest Environmental Sustainability Board meeting a co-chair will be selected for the planning committee. 5. NEW BUSINESS 3. Annual retreat - Caitlyn Gendusa, staff liaison Omar Zafra and Jane Edgar are emailing Caitlyn proposed budget requests prior to the December meeting. Members confirmed continuing with the following focus area categories: Energy – Grady Nance Transportation – Gina Baxter Waste management – Frank Stewart and Virginia Tegel Land management – Jill Carter Water – Omar Zafra and Tanja Guzman ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY BOARD – November 21, 2024 Page | 1  Virginia brough up suggestion of each member reviewing City Council agenda to see if there are any sustainability related items that the board should be involved in or provide input. The board is moving forward with the City offering compost bins, similar to rain barrel program. 4. Farewell to Gina Baxter - Virginia Tegel, Chair 6.
