1. CALL TO ORDER
Team members present: Caroline Gunther, John Ryan, Carol Sitzer, Mark Pavao
Absent: Jared Bellmund, Ben Smith
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. May 2021 Economic Vitality Team Minutes
Caroline made a motion to approve, John Ryan seconded. Gunther, Ryan, Sitzer and Pavao
voted to approve.
3. OLD BUSINESS
1. The following pivot grants were awarded:
D9 Brewing - $1000 - contingent on having live music at 2 LoveHendo events
Emma's Baby Boutique - $100 - contingent on approval from Jamie with updates
HVL Pedal & Brews - $800 contingent on $200 per month having staffed LoveHendo Saturday
rides
Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique pulled out of consideration and Team ECCO was not awarded
due to receiving 2 previous grants.
4. NEW BUSINESS
1. Jamie presented about this program. Little information was available at this point and will
report back. There was discussion from the committee on if it seemed worthwhile at this time
as opposed to building entrepreneurship from within.
2. There was discussion on the proposed ordinance. Feedback from the committee included a
retail area on Main Street, conditional uses, and hours of operation. Jamie and planning staff
will confer and bring to next Downtown Advisory Board meeting then to Planning Board.

Current C-1 Zoning attached.
Definition: Manufacturing, Light: The assembly, fabrication, or processing of goods and
materials using processes that ordinarily do not create noise, smoke, fumes, odors, glare, or
health or safety hazards outside of the building or lot where such assembly, fabrication, or
processing takes place, where such processes are housed entirely within a building, or where
the area occupied by outdoor storage of goods and materials used in such processes does not
exceed 25% of the floor area of all buildings on the property.
