CITY OF HENDERSONVILLE TREE BOARD City Operations Center | 305 Williams St. | Hendersonville, NC 28792 Monday, October 13, 2025 – 2:30 PM MINUTES 1. CALL TO ORDER No quorum. Tommy Oakman, Richard Bowerman, and Rebecca Doll are absent. Skye Williams joined via Zoom. Glenn Lange, Natalie Wilcoxson, and Ed Skvarch present. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Unable to approve agenda due to no quorum 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approval of September 2025 meeting minutes – unable to approve minutes due to no quorum. 4. OLD BUSINESS Discuss draft letter to City Council - Glenn Lange, Member Ordinance/policy language in letter will be moved to an addendum for future consideration. Letter will be updated to have 3-4 top requests to City Council: Urban Forestry Plan, hiring full time arborist, implementation of Parks & Greenspace Master Plan, and education campaign. This will ideally be included as part of City Council’s 3-4 year strategic plan. TB involvement with Arbor Day Grant; public land plantings – Glenn Lange, Member and Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison The Tree Board would like to review the list of tree species purchased as part of the grant that are being planted at Disk Golf. Caitlyn Gendusa is reaching out to staff to get a copy of the invoice. Tree Giveaway will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 12:00-4:00p.m. Review of Tree Canopy information on GIS - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison No update on this - The previous contractor was fired and we will proceed once a new contractor is identified. This is currently on hold until a new Property, Building, & Cemetery Superintendent position is hired. 5. NEW BUSINESS TREE BOARD – October 13, 2025 Page | 1  Discuss outreach plans to find new certified arborist Tree Board member - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison Caitlyn Gendusa is sending out template email to foresters Ed Skvarch sent. Consideration and vote on new meeting time - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison The next meeting will be a special call meeting at 4pm, November 10th with the intention of a formal vote to permanently move meetings times to 4pm to better accommodate members that work during the day. Website refresh - Glenn Lange, Member Caitlyn Gendusa will work on refreshing the Tree Board website to include the messaging that is on the updated Tree Board brochures. 6.
