CITY OF HENDERSONVILLE TREE BOARD MEETING Operations Center - Second Floor Conference Room | 305 Williams St. | Hendersonville NC 28792 Monday, March 09, 2026 – 4:00 PM MINUTES CALL TO ORDER Glenn Lange and Bill Leatherwood present. Skye Williams, Tommy Oakman, Natalie Wilcoxen, Ed Skvarch, and Richard Bowerman absent. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Agenda was not able to be approved since not enough members were present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approval of February 2026 Meeting Minutes – Minutes were not able to be approved since not enough members were present. BUSINESS Discuss City Council Letter - Brent Detwiler, Assistant City Manager & John Connet, City Manager a) The City is still prioritizing Hurricane Helene recovery b) Brent mentioned putting together an inventory of all City properties and see opportunities for Tree Board improvements. c) John brought up the idea of doing more targeted outreach mailings for Neighborwoods participants focusing on new developments that have little trees. Brent mentioned it would be ideal if we were able to reach out to the developer before the development is complete to see if they will plant the tree. Neighborwoods Update - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison & Natalie Wilcoxen, Member a) Assign new board member to manage program – Glenn suggested Ed.
