CITY OF HENDERSONVILLE TREE BOARD MEETING Operations Center - Second Floor Conference Room | 305 Williams St. | Hendersonville NC 28792 Monday, April 13, 2026 – 4:00 PM MINUTES CALL TO ORDER Meeting called to order at 4:07pm. Nonmembers present: Councilmember Lyndsey Simpson and Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison, Gary from Core Academy, George from HVL Times News, and Jan Furr from Trinity Presbyterian Church. Members present: Glenn Lange, Natalie Wilcoxen, Bill Leatherwood, and Richard Bowerman Members absent: Ed Skvarch, Tommy Oakman, and Skye Williams APPROVAL OF AGENDA Richard motioned to approve first followed by Glenn. BUSINESS Review 2025 Bee City Annual Report - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison Bradford Pear Bounty & Neighborwoods Update - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison Neighborwoods and Bradford Pear Bounty: Pickup Saturday, April 25th from 9-11am Members volunteering: Glenn, Ed, and Bill Neighborwoods trees will be marked with participant's name and grouped away from the Bradford Pear Bounty trees so volunteers make sure to check before giving away. Bradford Pear Bounty - 154 trees reserved (120 trees ordered; 160 max registration) Hendo Earth Fest Update - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison Confirm board members tabling – Glenn and Tommy Mickey Lively delivering 10 gallon Bottlebrush Buckeye for giveaway – Board suggested this be a native azalea like last year Review Tree Board Annual Report - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison TREE BOARD MEETING – April 13, 2026 Page | 1  Changing TB Monthly Meeting to First Monday of the Month - Glenn Lange, Member – delayed to next meeting Tree Planting - Glenn Lange, Member – Caitlyn emailing City staff, Glenn, and Ed with total board funds available to use for tree planting on City property. Kevin from Property Maintenance will assist with quotes. Planting Trees on Hendersonville Housing Authority Properties – Lyndsey connecting Caitlyn with contact Update on Letter to City Council - Glenn Lange, Member – no update Addressing Invasive Species along Ecusta Trail - Glenn Lange, Member – delayed due to time ESB/TB Meeting - Caitlyn Gendusa, Staff Liaison – Caitlyn rescheduling ADJOURNMENT Richard motioned to adjourn first followed by Glenn.
