Will have the safety tips displayed when they come to sign in. We will need to ask volunteers if they have read it. When they get here, we will have them sign this. We will have eight tables total : two tables for sign-ups, two tables for them to pick up supplies, a table for returning supplies, a table for maps with assigned clean- up areas plus parking areas, and a couple of tables for coffee and snacks. Discussed the form and minor changes that need to be made. Rob will make the changes. Discussed what to do if a minor showed up to volunteer and didn't have their form signed by a parent beforehand or a parent with them to sign when they arrived here. Kathy said that we do not want to turn them away but would check with Charlotte to see what they did. We are a part of "No Trash November" campaign. Motion: Second : Vote: Discussion Notes: Assigned areas of responsibility prior to clean up and event day Ky with Cumberland River Compact spoke. They are an environmental non-profit. She is their volunteer coordinator. They have their own volunteer release form for people to sign when they arrive at the site. For minors, they have a website with a form that the parent or guardian prints off and signs prior to the clean-up day for the child to bring with them. Their clean-up area will be Drakes Creek. Ky spoke about the Dragon Boat Race Fund raiser that takes place on the downtown East bank of the Cumberland River. They have teams that sign up and pay a fee to race their boats. There is a company that paints boats to look like dr_agons. Discussed who would be at each table at the front and what hours they would cover. Also discussed the maps showing the clean-up areas. Discussed the placement of the banner and signs and where to advertise. Kathy has spoken to an artist, Kato, about painting barrels to place throughout the city primarily in the parks. He will have one painted and ready for us to display at the clean-up event on November 11th . Hang wreaths at the bridge on November 20th • Kathy waiting on call from Stansill about power to the bridge. Christmas Open House at City Hall December 12th 4-7 p.m. Motion: Second: Vote: Approved unanimously Discussion Notes: Kathy is working with a caterer for BH providing snacks during the Open House.
