As of December 31, 2023 we had a balance of $12,028.96. BH Auto Litter Bag Order Status - Michele Owens Michele is working with DoDat, a local business in Hendersonville on Lavergne Circle, to produce the litter bags. They can produce the same bag as we have. The cost is $1,350.00 and the turnaround time is a whole lot better. The City already has an account set up with them. The invoice has been received and check request submitted. Rob mentioned that the newer cars do not have knobs to hang the bags on. He shared information about these hangers that hook behind the headrests and suggested ordering some of these. Envelopes and Cards Michele received a quote from Impressive Printing for printing cards and envelopes. She will order 500 cards and envelopes. The cards will cost $165.00 and the envelopes will cost $145.00. It will only take three days to print them . Robbie raised the question about purchasing some stamps. Mayor Clary had previously approved that Beautiful Hendersonville could utilize the postage meter here at City Hall. We can purchase stamps if we see that we need to. Mural Kathy talked to the one that leases the building on the corner of Old Shackle Island Road about painting a mural on the building. He didn't want to make the building look too nice because the owner might sell the building. He was on board working with the students. She also met with Krem. It will take time. Newsletter Monthly Activity and Photos Kathy - We want to put a monthly activity newsletter together. We will put in PDF Form and send to Casey to put on the website and on the City's Facebook page. Bridge (Plants, Banners & Power Washing We cannot get electricity or water run to the bridge. Robert said he has never had a problem with watering the plants except this year. They were root bound and he had to water them twice a day. The pots were small and the weather was extremely hot this past summer. Kathy said the banners are an option to make it look good and it would be something we could change out seasonally. We will need 16 at a cost of $80 per banner plus the cost of the hardware needed to install them. We can incorporate the City logo. Kathy asked if anyone knew about banners on the poles on Indian Lake Road in the past. Robert said that he hung them about two years ago when Pat Campbell died. Kathy talked to Trace about them and he said that you couldn't see them because the trees covered them up. Kathy said our focus should be on getting banners for the bridge. Michele questioned how they would weather. Mr. Sign Man is the one that Kathy spoke with. He said he has done banners for Northfield Church and Volunteer State Community College and we can look at those for the quality. Kathy is going to try to get some samples from him. Robert Cox mentioned that there were banners at Drakes Creek Park and that size would be too small for the bridge. Robbie mentioned calling other cities to see who their supplier is for their banners. Kathy also heard from Scott Hall about power-washing the wall. He said he would not charge for labor but for the chemicals. Other Business: Kathy read the card she received from United Way thanking Beautiful Hendersonville for partnering with them on the Tornado Recovery Clean-Up Day on December 16, 2023. There were over 850 volunteers. The Mayor stopped in and offered to buy lunch for the group from Raising Cane's.
