Acceptance of the Agenda Motion: Alderman Roberson Second: Alderman Martin Vote: Passed unanimously Acceptance of Meeting Minutes from June 27, 2023 Motion: Alderman Roberson Second: Alderman Martin Vote: Passed Unanimously ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS: 1) Resolution 2023-30, a resolution accepting the dedication of the completed streets in Wynbrooke, Phase 6, Hendersonville, Sumner County, Tennessee Motion: Alderman Martin Second: Alderman Roberson Vote: Passed unanimously 2) Resolution 2023-31, a resolution authorizing the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for a BlueCross BlueShield Healthy Place Grant Motion: Alderman Martin Second: Alderman Roberson Vote: Passed unanimously 2  3) Resolution 2023-32, a resolution authorizing the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for a property conservation grant with Public Entity Partners Parks Director Gilly discussed the need to add more security cameras around parks. Parks – Sanding Fields Parks Director Gilley discussed the process and which fields were being addressed. 2. Heritage Park Parks Director Gilley discussed expenses and events held at the venue. 3. Trash Collection Update: Director Lock reviewed the monthly trash misses. Discussion ensued about trends and issues. 4. Waste Services Collection – Extension of Contract Director Lock reviewed the discussions with Waste Pro. Mayor Clary noted that there will be a community input meeting regarding trash services on August 8th. 5. Limb Brush Collection Update Director Lock discussed the limb collection progress. She has put out an RFP for an on-call limb collection service. The use of the service may require an appropriation. 6. Light Synchronization Update Director Lock explained that everything is moving along on schedule. 7. Sanders Ferry Greenway Update Director Lock discussed the status of this project. Progress of the largest boardwalk is 50% constructed. Discussion ensued. 3 OTHER BUSINESS 1) Pickleball status – Director Gilley discussed the potential for up to 8 courts. Discussion ensued. 2) Monument – Director Lock discussed that the Property Management company is working with their insurance company to repair the monument on Indian Lake Blvd. 3) Roundabout on Saundersville Rd – Director Lock explained it is not on schedule due to weather delays. An updated timeline will be given. 4) Drakes Creek & Stop 30 intersection – Director Lock reviewed right-of-way progress to date and discussion ensued. 5) Drakes Creek Roundabout– Director Lock reviewed right-of-way progress and utility conflicts. Discussion ensued. Motion to Adjourn Motion: Alderman Martin Second: Alderman Roberson Meeting adjourned at: 6:00pm __________________________________________________ Mark Skidmore, Chairman 4  RESOLUTION 2023-34 Sponsors: Collins, Garton A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF THE COMPLETED STREETS IN SAVANNAH, PHASE 6, IN HENDERSONVILLE, SUMNER COUNTY, TENNESSEE WHEREAS, the developer, Creekside Homes, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company, has formally requested the City of Hendersonville accept the dedication of the completed streets in Savannah, Phase 6, property that is located on the west side of Cages Bend Road in Hendersonville, Tennessee; WHEREAS, the streets and drainage have been inspected by the Public Works Director and City Engineer and were found to meet all City specifications; WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee has recommended acceptance; and WHEREAS, the Hendersonville Planning Commission on July 25th, 2023, recommended acceptance of the streets: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMAN OF THE CITY OF HENDERSONVILLE, TENNESSEE, that dedication of the completed streets in Savannah, Phase 6, is hereby accepted. Once a residential subdivision is constructed and complete, the developer formally requests final acceptance of improvements and streets by the City. Staff provides a final review of the subdivision after punch list items have been addressed and recommends acceptance to the Public Works Committee, Planning Commission and Board of Mayor and Alderman. DISCUSSION: 2 The Developer, Creekside Homes, LLC , formally requested the City of Hendersonville accept dedication of the completed streets in Savannah, Phase 6. The streets and drainage have been inspected by the Public Works Director and/or City Engineer and were found to meet all City specifications.
