Motion to recommend approval of Resolution 2024-06, a resolution to accept the com pleted streets in
Durham Farm, Phase 1 Section 16, Phase 3 Section 28A and Phase3 Section 29.

Trash Collection Update and Bids
Discussion Notes:
Public Works Director Sarah Lock reported that trash collection is going well, and daily misses have been
staying below the threshold . She presented a year over year miss comparison to demonstrate the
improved service. Discussion ensued.
Public Works Director Sarah Lock gave an overview of the bids summary to be reviewed Wednesday,
January 24, 2024. She reviewed some specifics from various bidders. Discussion ensued.

Parks Maintenance Shop Update {verbal update )
Discussion Notes:
Parks Director Andy Gilley discussed the reports distributed to all. History and issues with the building
was discussed. Discussion ensued with options for solutions. This discussion will be continued next
month.
Harbortowne History Update (verbal update)
Discussion Notes:
Public Works Director Sarah Lock stated the bonds for this development were released in the late 1990's
to early 2000's. There is no remaining bond on file for paving. Discussion ensued.
Telecom Readiness (verbal update )
Discussion Notes:
Public Works Director Sarah Lock reported that the telecoms were contacted regarding tornado
readiness. Verizon and ATT were both prepared to address, neither required additional services. T-
Mobile was more difficult to contact to gather information.
Light Synchronization (verbal update )
Discussion Notes:
Public Works Director Sarah Lock said that the project is complete. Testing will occur Jan 30th •
Sanders Ferry Greenway (verbal update)
Discussion Notes:
Public Works Director Sarah Lock reported that the Greenway is substantially complete. Public Works
will coordinate with the contractor on the railing concerns for feasibility and cost as a separate project
once this project is complete. Discussion ensued.
Saundersville Road Roundabout (verbal update )
Discussion Notes:
Alderman Roberson introduced County Commissioner Tim Jones. He mentioned the issue with the
roundabout traffic during high traffic times resulting in the cars stacking into the roundabout awaiting
the change of lights, causing a gridlock. He stated that large semi-trucks moving through the
roundabout are driving through the landscaping. Public Works Director Sarah Lock discussed the
responsibility that lies with the developer for review and correct the issues since the improvement has
not been accepted by the City. This discussion will be continued at next month's meeting.
