MEETING GUIDELINES
The following guidelines have been established by the City Council:

As a courtesy to others, please refrain from using cellular telephones or other
similar electronic devices in the Council Chamber.
A maximum of three (3) speakers in favor and three (3) speakers in
opposition will be allowed to address the Council on any one item. Each
speaker’s comments will be limited to three (3) minutes.
No signs or placards, in support of or in opposition to an item or speaker,
shall be permitted within the Council Chamber.
Members of the public may address the City Council on any item
pertaining to City business during the Comments and Questions portion of
the meeting. A member of the public is limited to one appearance before the
City Council and the speaker’s comments will be limited to three
(3) minutes.
REPORT: The meeting guidelines were read into the record in English by
Marbelys Fatjo, City Clerk, and in Spanish by Brigette Leal, Administrative Aide,

PRESENTATIONS
1. ANNOUNCEMENT OF AMENDMENTS/CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA
The expense amount for Consent Item D has been changed from $50,000 to $45,000.
The vendor for Consent Item OO has been corrected.
The proposed resolution for Consent Item CCC has been updated.
Additional backup to Administrative Item 3C has been placed on the dais for the
Council’s review.
Item LU 1 has been corrected to reflect that it is on first reading. There will be no
action on this item as the applicant has requested that the item remain on table until
October 9, 2018.
Item DDD, EEE and FFF have been added to today’s agenda and placed on the dais
for the City Council’s review.
The address for Item LU 7 is being corrected to 2901 West 16 Avenue.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
All items listed with letter designations are considered routine and will be enacted by one
motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember, the
Mayor or a resident so requests, in which case the item will be removed from the consent
agenda and considered along with the regular order of business.

ZZ. Report of Scrivener’s Error – Resolution No. 2018-079 of the City Council meeting of
August 28, 2018 was passed and adopted with Section 3 of the resolution providing that
Deborah Storch was reappointed as: “Zoning Planner” where it should have read “Citizen
that serves on a local planning agency”. Additionally, Alexis Riveron was reappointed as
“Citizen that lives in the jurisdiction” where it should have read “Building Official”. The
ordinance is being amended to reflect the correct language “Citizens that serves on a local
planning agency” and “Building Official”. (LAW DEPT.)
REPORT: Motion to Approve Consent Item ZZ made by Councilwoman Garcia-Martinez
and seconded by Councilwoman Cue Fuente. Motion passed 7-0.
