CITY OF HIALEAH February 26, 2024 1:00 P.M. Immigration Workshop (MINUTES) I. CALL TO ORDER A. Mayor Bovo called the meeting to order at 1:16 p.m. B. The following Council Members were present: 1. Council Member Perez 2. Council Vice President Garcia-Roves arrived during the meeting. II. PRESENTATIONS A. REPORT: Mayor Bovo spoke regarding the purpose of the workshop. B. REPORT: Fire Captain Paul Garcia, Hialeah Fire Department, presented. C. REPORT: Fire Chief Willians Guerra, Hialeah Fire Department, addressed the Mayor and City Council Members present. D. REPORT: Police Chief George Fuente, Hialeah Police Department, presented. E. REPORT: Caleb Rodriguez, City of Hialeah Code Compliance, presented a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation is on file with the Office of the City Clerk. F. REPORT: Steven Diaz, City of Hialeah Parks and Recreation Department, presented.  G. REPORT: Kevin Lynskey, Director of the Hialeah Department of Public Works, presented a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation is on file with the Office of the City Clerk. H. REPORT: Justo Espinoza, City of Hialeah Transit Manager, presented a PowerPoint. The presentation is on file with the Office of the City Clerk. III. DISCUSSION REPORT: Mayor Bovo, announced that the next Immigration Workshop is scheduled for March 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. IV.
