a. Motion to direct staff to release the February 2023 contribution to the Citizens Fire
Company #1 of Highspire as indicated in the 2023 General Fund Budget (411.500).
Amount to be paid to the Company $2,500.00.
b. Motion directing the Borough Solicitor to draft and Imminent Domain, Temporary
and Permanent Construction Easement for 302 Market Street in order for construction
equipment to access Burd Run and repair the Poplar Street Culvert
c. Motion to (approve/reject/table) Highspire Borough Council Resolution #7-2023
reappointing Ms. Jenna A. Charles to a term of office with the Highspire Borough
Authority.
d. Motion to (approve/reject/table) Highspire Borough Council Resolution #8-2023
reappointing Mr. Nicholas M. Matesevac to a term of office with the Highspire Borough
Planning Commission.
e. Motion to (approve/reject/table) Highspire Borough Council Resolution #9-2023
reappointing Ms. Ann M. Castaneira to a term of office with the Highspire Borough
Environmental Advisory Board.
f. Motion to (approve/reject/table) Highspire Borough Council Resolution #10-2023
reappointing Mr. Kenneth C. Becker, Jr. to a term of office with the Highspire Borough
Civil Service Commission.
g. Motion to (approve/reject/table) the purchase of two (2) seasonal banners in the
amount of $260.00 ($130.00 each) from With Kidz in Mind. The banners will be paid out
of the Holiday Decoration Fund PLGIT account.
h. Motion to (approve/reject/table) the purchase of twelve (12) new brackets in the
amount of $959.00 ($125.00 each plus shipping) from Holiday Outdoor Décor. The
brackets will be paid out of the Holiday Decoration Fund PLGIT account.
i. Motion to (approve/reject/table) the return of escrow funds to Mr. Andrew D. Lee, 9
Amity Road, Duncannon, PA, in the amount of $9,417.67 ($8,883.00 plus accrued
interest), which were placed in the Escrow PLGIT account under Act-93.
j. Motion to (approve/reject/table) the quote from Osage Piping & Fabricating, Inc. to
repair the Rhoda Avenue footbridge at Memorial Park. Total cost of the repair will be
$7,980.00 (Of which, $7,108.93 was paid by the driver’s insurance and the remaining
balance of $871.07 will be paid out of the 2023 Gen. Fund Budget – Culture &

Recreation (452.300)).
k. Motion to (approve/reject/table) the quote from Osage Piping & Fabricating, Inc. for
the replacement of the Rhoda Avenue footbridge decking. Total cost of the project will
be $4,070.00, which will be paid out of the 2023 General Fund Budget – Culture &
Recreation (452.300).
l. Motion to (approve/reject/table) the execution of the Confirmatory Deed for the
former “Citizens Fire House” property located at the corner of Broad Street and Paxton
Street confirming the Borough of Highspire’s ownership of the tract.
